Ladies, regardless of whether you work in an office, hospital, restaurant, or school – a long day on the job makes finding time to exercise a challenging task.
Picture this – You arrive at the office at 9am and spend the next 8-10 HOURS sitting at your desk, sitting in a conference room, sitting in the cafeteria or sitting in your car.
That’s a lot of sitting and NOT a lot of movement! Even worse, this monotonous routine can lead to bad habits, such as mindless munching or unnecessary snack breaks.
Since there is nothing more important than your health, let’s go over some simple ways to burn more calories at work.
Try combining these tips into your daily routine (along with the BiteSized Body Lab workouts and nutrition plans) to ensure you have some incredibly sexy legs to match your favorite pair of stilettos!
1. Stand Up
Get up from your chair! Take a walk to stretch every hour… yes, I said EVERY hour! The company will still be up and running when you get back to your seat after a few minutes of air… I promise!
2. Fill Up (sorta)
Only fill up your water bottle half way when in the break room. Now, you’ll have to get up twice as often to stay hydrated!
3. Meet Up
Meetings may take up the majority of your day, but they don’t always need to happen in a conference room. Spice it up a bit and opt for a “walking meeting” with your co-workers.
4. Sit Up
Office chairs can be uncomfortable and don’t always provide the necessary support you need. Try an exercise ball as a chair instead. It’s a THING, I promise!
5. Hook It Up
Sitting at your desk hunched over on the phone isn’t doing your posture any good… Hook yourself up with a headset and have stand up calls!
